Having worked closely with Paul Seville, one of the world’s leading hair educators, JD honed a skill set that combines precision, creativity, and a deep understanding of hair.

Trained through GMS in London and a L’Oréal Diploma-qualified colour technician, JD blends technical mastery with refined artistic vision. Over the years, JD has:

• Served as an educator at Seville’s Academy, New Zealand, shaping the next generation of hair professionals
• Worked as a Senior barber and manager for Barkers, New Zealand
• Gained experience with Toni & Guy in London
• Specialised in bridal and event hair-ups, creating unforgettable moments
• Owned and successfully sold a private salon in London, becoming at the time the youngest hairdresser in Britain to open their own salon
• Won multiple prestigious industry awards and been featured many times in leading hair journals
• Shared the stage with Angus Mitchell from the Paul Mitchell Company, delivering masterclasses to industry peers
